WHFR Radiothon-Please Help Us!!

DJ BAM plans to give away many hours of recorded mixes by local DJs for WHFR.FM listeners who donate to WHFR's Radiothon 2009. All you have to do is give a donation of at least $30 during "The Journey into Trance Show" on Thursday evening from 9pm-12am or the "Midnight Mix" on Friday evening / Saturday morning from 12am-2am. The mixes are donated from different local DJâs that have been featured on the show before including DJ Sheed & Hady Basha, DJ Golden1, DJ Mr. Busy and many others. All mixes are previously unreleased and unaired. The only way to get your copy of these mixes is to donate this week to WHFR.FM. Mixes will be given away as digital downloads, however if any WHFR listener does not have internet access and would like copies of these mixes burned for them, DJ BAM can make the proper arrangements. I just wanted to do a quick update to let you be the first ones to know about some great new Electronic music that you can download.

First off, podcast 11 is out featuring new music from Mnty. If you haven't downloaded it yet, make sure to get it off of our podcast page.

Also, last week on the Journey into Trance radio show, I had 4 live dj's in doing some spinning. DJ wafflestomper and DJ Speedfreak did two really good trance sets that I highly recommend to anyone who likes trance music. I have to mention that there is an inaccuracy in podcast 5. We were going on about how they have removed the giraffes from the Detroit Zoo. Well I personally visited the zoo and as you can see in the picture there are still giraffes. I can confirm that there are no elepphants though.The rhino took over their habitat. He looked very lonely.We have a habit of talking about totally unrelated things on our show and that's the way we like it.

Welcome to...
the Journey into Trance Podcast 4.
Hello all! We are goofs. This is our wackiest podcast thus far. I laughed my butt off at this one. For those of you that have been listening all along you realize that this is about fun for us. We are serious only about playing great songs and then laughing at each other. This is the final podcast featuring music from Detroit's own Reidnoise. Reidnoise is one of DJ Bam's favorite artists and he is very grateful to have started the show with a such an acclaimed Detroit act.
This was an experiment and now because of the overwhelming demand for this podcast we have lined up more Detroit artists to expose the world to the variety, quality and originality of Detroit.
We are proud to hail from the motor city. It has birthed so many acts that are ahead of their time. Detroit is a rough town with tough crowds and mean streets. It breeds a different kind of artist that has an attitude born of sheer survival and will. That's why the world looks to us for musical invention. This is a unique scene with a thriving metro area built around a lawless ghost town. If an artist can make a name for himself here he is special.
Here at the Journey into Trance we will bring you those artists and you will be the first to say you heard them.

Podcast #3 follow up!

Hello all, Reid from Reidnoise.com here. We hope you enjoy the Journey into Trance podcast 3. It was recorded at Henry Ford Community College located in Dearborn, Michigan which is located just outside of Detroit.
It is very kind of 89.3 Whfr.fm's staff to let us use their beautiful facilities. WHFR is a well run student radio station and deserves recognition and listeners. I have performed live many times on DJ Bam's radio version of The Journey into Trance which airs thursday evenings at 9 p.m. eastern time.
We had alot of fun recording this last thursday. DJ Bam and I were both exhausted yet turned in a good show. We did our best to poke fun at each other and spin some more reidnoise tunes. Sleep deprivation can have some interesting creative results. We have had amazing feedback so far. I get so much email and my inbox is overflowing.
Here is a tracklist for podcast #3.

Podcast 3 scheduled for august 8th broadcast

Hello good podcasters and bloggers, Reid from Reidnoise here.

I am proud to announce the new podcast will be avilable next monday wich is August 8th 2005.
Sorry for the delay. I never knew how much feedback I would get from these podcasts. We just did them for fun originally and now we have this huge audience expecting more. I never knew we would have so many listeners expecting a regularly syndicated show.

Well we've got our business together now and will deliver on time from now on. We have secured studio space and time to create the podcasts.
We are also lining up artists other than Reidnoise to perform live and interview even though the music has been so well received. Upcoming podcasts 3 and 4 will feature Reidnoise.Podcast 5 will feature Bahbiss Cobb of bahbisscobb.com and 6 will feature artists/DJ's from electricavenue.org.
I have had alot of requests asking me how do i do what I do and I am breaking down under the pressure and will share the inside information of my studio work in my next blog.
Upcoming blogs will contain the show notes for podcast 3 and after that I will reveal my live show techniques including equiptment and extra info.

Bam and I had to reschedule due to the fact that I had conjunctivitis wich is a form of pink eye and it is very contagious. I felt like crap and I had two live shows scheduled that weeek. I know excuses, excuses. We have rescheduled podcast 3 for this thursday and i am looking forward to it. I want to take second to thank everyone for buying all the c.d.'s from reidnoise.com.
